Yesterday started out pretty good. Dropped of the kids at ski school and went for some nice runs by myself until I bounded with an older lady called Ann. She gave me a guided tour all over the mountain and we had a lot of fun, until I got a phone call that said that my host kid AL had broken her leg... My girly girl chose a pink cast which suits her just fine!

For me Tahoe almost feels like home, with a lot of snow, spruce and skiing. Since I've mostly been in San Francisco the last two winters I actually enjoyed my walk in winter wonderland. Also, the kids and I have made it a tradition to watch a movie in the evening while drinking hot chocolate. Like it a lot!

We've seriously gotten five inches (about 15cm) of snow today. Half of it was stuck to my hair after a couple of hours at the ski slopes. I can't really say that the car was prepared for this weather cause we were dancing our way home, swinging that rear back from left to right.
A fun thing today was when I was teaching J how to use a VHS which was way to low-tech for him a totally fascinating. And speaking of something random, tonight I'm sleeping in a California King Bed just like another celebrity.

So I'm traveling from California to Nevada and my face gets sunburnt. Why is that? The walking tomato is enjoying Tahoe with surroundings so far. Josefin left this morning and I've spent the day by walking on the frozen lake next to the house we're renting and watching a movie with a cup of tea. The calm before the storm, the family and their guests will arrive any minute.

Where did this week go? Keeping yourself busy and having fun are two things that make time fly. This week has been a combination of both and tomorrow it's already Sunday! Yesterday night Josefin, Julia and I had a girls night out which was a lot of fun. Today my host mom organized a Chinese New Year party like she did last year. It's a very nice tradition!
